Me, Myself and I
By : Ashlyn Warren

you are a microphone
always heard in the crowd
brick wall
never ever let its guard down
 you are a leather jacket
that never wears out but adjust to every size as I grow
you are a jawbreaker
full of endless flavor
a curious lion
the ruler of the wild but still wondering how to be in this world
chameleon, you
always blend in yet are unique
you’re me Siamese twin,
just alike we seemed like we were born conjoined
with the same mind and heart

Feelings + Me = Cracking Mirror
By: Ashlyn Warren

Happen like a lion.
Always uptight
it roars and demands space
pacing back and forth
mad as can be
hurting inside
not knowing how to express its rage
pretending to be a kitty cat
acting like everything is fine
while it eats you inside.
When you look around
everything is in slow motion
life starts to stop
the world crashing on you.
Facing the mirror
emotions spill.
look back at the hallow mirror:
it cracks.
